These clients asked us to design a new family home for a residential estate in the East of Johannesburg. Their biggest requirement was that the house should serve their love of hosting and entertaining family and friends. The design accomplishes this by orienting the home around a large open-plan entertainment and living area that draws one out to the pool deck. As the lines between interior and exterior blur, we create an extraordinary sense of space and freedom.

 

The bedrooms are contained in the privacy of the East and West wings, displaying a clean and contemporary twist on the traditional house profile with eye-catching vertical glass elements, clean lines and a concentrated color pallet.
